Yuuzuru, Twilight Crane, is a famous Japanese opera by Ikuma Dan (團 伊玖磨) after the play of the same name by Junji Kinoshita (木下 順二). Yuuzuru tells the story of a wounded crane that is rescued by a brave peasant.
Symbolism of the Japanese crane, tsuru (鶴):
